For most people, the thought of saving thousands of dollars to travel the world is an unreachable task. While there are many ways to save money, for some, there’s no amount of budgeting that will help them save enough. Reading articles on how people saved some crazy amount for travel can just be depressing. “I could never do that,” you say. “Sure, those people saved tens of thousands making minimum wage, but I can’t even afford food.” All those articles on travel blogs, Elite Daily and Buzzfeed are far too unrealistic. I admit I’m guilty of this too.
Manila Baywalk may be getting overlooked but it should never be forgotten… See why… Take a walk along Manila Baywalk. Once an area for pickpockets and thieves until it was transformed. We were there in November. The weather was beautiful, the sun was shining and we could see for miles. Oh, and remember there is also another wonder of the world on the same island… The Tarsier..
One of the few ancient remains of the Philippines in Manila. To be honest, the fort is a genuinely interesting attraction for locals and tourists alike that will not only interest you with its architecture but also give you an insight into the country’s identity and culture. I find it relaxing just to walk around the area, getting a sense of what life must have been like during Spanish colonial rule. It’s a hot walk in summer though, so take an umbrella if possible.

MOA Amusement Park, SM By The Bay – First of all, a day is never enough for this place. Add to this, the endless choices of dining, recreation, and entertainment outside the humongous mall. The best place to watch the sunset and cap the day of shopping. Ever since I can remember, SM has been the go-to mall for everyone. And this has not changed. SM Mall of Asia in Pasay being the 3rd biggest of all the SM Supermalls. But the humongous size of this mall isn’t the only thing that makes this mall unique.

The buzz had started, the word was out and we couldn’t resist the temptation to see this natural wonder ourselves.

We visited the basilica on a Saturday morning, bright and early to miss the crowds. There was plenty of FREE parking near the church so we didn’t have to walk too far. Try to visit on a weekday if you can. There is ample parking near the Basilica but make sure it is free (There is also paid parking areas).
