Imagine yourself walking the Kingsroad or laying your hands on the cold stone walls of Winterfell, not to mention visiting the magnificent water gardens of Dorne. With Google’s new street view guide to “The Game Of Thrones” you can visit all the places you have only dreamed of.
Yes, I know it is not the same as having your own Game of Thrones dream vacation and actually being there but it is the next best thing. With the new Google Maps Street Guide to the Game Of Thrones you can still visit the filming locations used in the series from the comfort of your browser.
Google recently posted a Google Maps location guide that’ll take you from the cool confines of Winterfell in Scotland to the site of the horrifying battle between Brienne and the Hound in an Icelandic national park.
A few of the locations you can visit from “Game of Thrones” are thecity streets used for Cersei’s walk of shame, the arena of Meereen, the House of the Undying, Prince Doran’s palace in Dorne and the Iron Islands. Simply click on a location and you’ll be immersed in an interactive Street View window that lets you move around and explore the details of the place.
Google is clearly having fun with this, attributing its announcement to “Lady Ursula of House Redon, Master of Street View in the Seven Kingdoms.”
