Summit Ridge Tagaytay Review
The Summit has a great location along the Summit Ridge Promenade. Situated close to some great restobars like Gerry’s, Starbucks and Josephine’s and various other “eat all you can” restaurants, you are sure to be kept busy. There is also a small hardware and Robinson’s supermarket close by.and convenient.
All 108 of the Summits rooms face Taal lake, but check first because facing the lake doesn’t mean you will have a good “Lake View”. There is also an infinity pool which has a great view and indoor basketball and badminton courts.
For those who will be driving, there is a parking lot in front of the hotel. There is also an underground carpark which has a special access at the back of the hotel.
The Hotel Rooms
We were disappointed with the first room we were given. You wouldn’t think a room on the 5th floor would have it’s view of the lake hidden by trees… but it We politely asked to be moved to a room with a better view The duty manager did an excellent job and promptly relocated us to a much better room. However, his assistant made sure we knew that these rooms are normally a higher rate to the point where we felt we needed to repeatedly apologize.
The Deluxe King room, our second room, was refreshingly spacious with a comfortable sofa for relaxation and a working table. Wifi speed is fast and reliable which is good if you are there for work. I love hotels with at least 2 (preferably 4) big, soft, comfortable pillows on the bed…., and this is one of them. Their beds are comfortable, the pillows… dreamy! The room is very clean, and most of what you need is there.
I absolutely loved the terrace, I like relaxing out there with the cool breeze and taking in the beautiful scenery. The early morning sunrise scene was awesome.
The room came with an electric kettle, mini fridge, LCD cable TV, safety box, and was fully air-conditioned and functional.

The Hotel Bathroom
The bathroom is spacious and clean… Much bigger than I had expected. The bathroom also has its own telephone line which is just near the toilet – just in case of emergencies…The shower is also stocked with shampoo, soap and toothbrushes and razors. The bathroom towels however, are badly worn and need urgent replacement.
The Hotel Restaurant
We had breakfast at Sisterfields. This restaurant offered a good breakfast menu selection, but the food, in my opinion, was only average. The bacon was a little too saturated in oil for my taste. The egg omelettes that we ordered took more than 15 mins to arrive. Considering there were less than 15 people in the restaurant, it was not good service. We also had to find our own cutlery twice. But, it was near to the pool, which makes it a great breakfast location.
Our Main Complaint With Summit Ridge Tagaytay
My main complaint with Summit Ridge is the NOISE! Even on the 8th floor, it sounded like we were right on the highway. It was that bad I kept checking to make sure we’d closed the window, All night long there were trucks and jeepneys changing gears up the hill. One night there was also loud music from the karaoke bar down the road.
